_Tessa Sinclair Scott grew up in New Zealand where she graduated with a
Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and literature from the University of
Canterbury before training and working for six years as a specialist
art educator in Auckland.
Following a move to Australia to pursue further studies in communication design she gathered experience as an arts marketing and exhibition designer in a large cultural institution before relocating to Hamburg, Germany in 2006, and setting up shop as a freelancer.
Alongside this rich portfolio of skills and experience as a designer, Scott has an MA in Creative Writing. She prefers to write pithy short stories and poems, as well as producing the occasional insight into life as an integrated foreigner in North Germany.
Scott further employs her love of language in the fields of translation and teaching – she speaks outstanding English, excellent German and muddles along in French.
